I just keep my web bookmarks in the bookmark toolbar. I've never felt the need for a dedicated app to manage them, as I have a good mental map of where in the directory tree things are. Am I missing out?
Depends on your needs and preferences. If you go with Pinboard you gain tags and full-text search (even for PDFs). And you can access your bookmarks from any device. Definitely worth it, IMHO.
A bookmark manager is pretty generic tool, that can be tailored for a variety of use-cases. You must first state your use-case, before asking for a recommendation
Why I like it: It’s simple. Doesn’t do too much. And Pinbord can archive every page you bookmark, plus full-text search. Even better than Delicious, that I used before switching over.
For me, the best is a feature-rich, well-maintained, and well-designed app.
Today I saw Zotero for Android on HN. I always recommend Zotero.
If OSS/local is not an issue, raindrop.io is my best (following my criteria).
