Maybe more countries and groups can act like Australia.

?

Australian right-leaning government called for an independent investigation of the origins of Covid. Chinese government responded by sanctioning Australian imports for years.

I've seen this narrative going arond the Interwebz for years, but in my memory China took retaliation measures before covid happened, during of Trump's trade war.

> Australia's ties with top trade partner China soured in 2018 when it became the first country to publicly ban China's Huawei from its 5G

Isn't it more that relations with China already weren't fantastic when Covid started, and the above mentioned request for an investigation just made things worse?

Probably relating at least to the coal situation a couple years back.

My process

1 utilize commute time. If you drive: podcasts about things you want to get better at. If you are on a commuter rail (where it’s normal to laptop) mooc or side projects.

2 temptation bundle: you get to do a fun thing if you do the learning etc thing first

3 micro learning: make it easy to pick up your phone and read a few pages vs wherever else you spend your time. Load the book into your reader, download the class for offline etc

Yes.

I’ve learned an unbelievable amount trying to systematically invest on my own.

All of what I have learned is levered in my career and I’ve utilized that knowledge during all interviews.

Care to elaborate? Never had the money to invest but have dabbled with some very basic auto trading algos. Long story short, before I learned any math related to gambling, I didn't understand why martingale can't work in gambling or investment. Now I do. :P

100% Kotlin on the Android side and pretty close to 100% SwiftUI on the iOS side. So two native apps.

> just know that you'll almost always under perform but usually have less volatility.

I’m really not sure this is right at all.

TALEA beer in Brooklyn just did a collaboration beer with billion oyster!

If you like oysters, the all-you-can-eat BOP annual fundraiser is one of the best events, in terms of fun and value, one can go to. Purveyors fly in from around the continent to show their wares. The liquor sponsors are great. And the venue is usually unique.

Buy real estate in Silicon Valley. Next question.

And in most places exploratory code becomes production code because that’s life.

Sometimes. And that's fine, for values of "production" that are "occasionally we need to run this to understand/debug this other code".
