That's certainly not a shining example of software quality. I also don't think it's fair to generalize about software quality for an entire country based on 1 or 2 examples.


I've written some C extensions for Ruby, and its internal APIs seem decent. What makes Ruby a bad example of software quality?


The number of bugs, mostly referring to the older MRI versions though.
