GitHub? But it's market is much smaller- just the 5% of computers that develop code. The vast majority just consume apps.



GitHub isn't open source, but maybe GitLab (ignoring that it wouldn't be totally analogous to Red Hat, which doesn't do "open core" with proprietary "enterprise" versions, though IIRC it did try that a couple times in past.)

Clearly Red Hat should buy GitLab and make it 100% open source. :)


GitHub could extend their offerings to the broader market of distributed/collaborative content creation.


That's one of those fortresses for Microsoft and Sharepoint.
