Where did the term "offline" come from? It's bewildered me for the past decade. It's always used in a meeting, which is inherently "offline".
It's also always code for "this is going to get ugly", or "this actually involves thought". So again, don't really get why "offline".
Additionally, I find it amusing (and agree with the author about standups btw) that anything which actually requires discussion among team members, and is interesting, and usually...worthy of us MEETING with each other...gets ordered out of the "meeting". Mundane status updates generally get ignored while everyone else looks at their phone or fidgets.
