I'm looking for an entry-level or junior dev position and a career change from a civil engineering background and I'm most interested in DevOps and backend. I'm comfortable on the CLI and with vim, git, etc. I want to get my foot in the door in this industry with an established company where there are experienced people willing to take me under their wing while I improve my skill set in return for me working hard for you. My university work was in the liberal arts (I don't have a CS degree), and I'm willing to do the work necessary—on my own time—to get up to speed with remedial CS and algorithm knowledge on nights and weekends. I have excellent soft skills, and I'm easily in the 99th percentile of English fluency and written communication. If you need good documentation, technical writing, or even web copy, I can definitely help you with that if you're willing to carve out time for me in exchange for a willingness to help me with my programming chops and technical development. In essence I'm not a 'ninja' or a 'rockstar' and I know it, but I'm hungry to level up.
