Watch Netflix in Ubuntu today
Been doing this for about a year now through pipelight[0] and another more esoteric hack before then. I hope this fix is not so hard on the cpu although I'm guessing it is the same wine hack in a different form.

It doesn't seem to be related to wine. I think it's more likely google ported the drm that got used on chromebooks for netflix to chrome for linux.

That is excellent, should use way less resources then... looking forward to trying this when I get home.

Nope, this is proper native support (though Chrome-only for now, since only that supports the DRM yet).
