The original would be the Chinese philosopher Zhuangzi¹, from the 3rd century BC:

"Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man."

...so I'm guessing that was not a real Turing quote, but possibly a reference to the Turing Test.
