$3.2b makes me think there has to be some awesome technology that they own or pipeline, as I can't get excited about the thermostat.
It is a great idea, and played with one a bit, but it isn't solving any large HVAC issues - the thermostat is simply an on/off switch for the real working hardware in your basement/outside.
