I really feel for the author. I had a similar problem, except on the other side of the table - evaluating whether candidates' solutions while interviewing them over the phone was excruciating.

I built https://coderpad.io to make the whole programmer-interview phone screen process easier. It's like Stypi on steroids, because it comes with a live REPL. You can play around with, say, JS, right there in the window. I've found it much more accurately simulates coding alone: the experimentation, quick validation, and verifiability that editors alone don't have is sooooo important.

I just wanted to chime in and say how righteous this app is. I've recommended it at work, though, as usual, no one listens.
