Actually, it appears the UV reflective decals are already available. I'm not sure if the Ottawa boy's are substantially different.

You can order them for $9.95:

That's hilarious, you can buy like 20 different designs of stickers that are almost transparent to human eyes?

I'm sure the Ottawanian boy can still have a piece of the market for these things. At least until every dangerous window has a decal ;)

Great idea, seemingly simply to implement...and, alas, copy. I hope he gets some marketing / business support quickly, or at least recognition by the company that starts selling these.

I'd buy a set of 3 just to stop the annoying noise birds keep making when they kill themselves trying to fly through my living room.

So far, Sobcov has tested his flying falcon-shaped decals on the sunroom of a cottage neighbouring his family's cottage.

"Immediately the birds stopped flying into those windows," he said.

Haha, awesome..

I'm not sure his test is statistically significant, but I can't blame him for not testing as thoroughly as I'd like, or even knowing to. :P

If his is literally invisible he's got it made. I can't see anyone wanting to have translucent images and shapes on their windows.

Some of the birds around here eat berries that ferment in their stomach and they basically DUI and smack into windows. It's disturbing.

"Flying Under the Influence"?
