That wording is worrying me as well, I hope its not a closed UI thing like Jolla did with sailfishOS...





I think that rockship chip still need proprietary blobs in the kernel. It is very probable that the model chip is using proprietary blobs/drivers too.

If this is the case, that doesn't make it less free than most laptops on which people install linux on.


There is a blob for the Mali GPU that I think does some task scheduling stuff.
