Can be anything - podcasts, interviews, video essays, movies, series

TV series:

- Dark Angel. I somehow missed this during it's original broadcast run, and only just now went back and watched it. I don't think it's streaming anywhere legit, so I went the bittorrent route. I really enjoyed it. Season One is definitely stronger than Season Two, but it kept me pretty engaged for the entire series.

- Max Headroom. I'd seen the entire series before, but I went back for a re-watch. I love this show.

- Person of Interest. Same deal, I'd seen the entire run previously, but did a complete re-watch.

Movies:

I don't think I watched any contemporary movies this year. I mostly watched old cyberpunk movies and "cyberpunk adjacent" sci-fi. Not sure anything I watched was exactly great but a couple stood out as interesting at least (in various ways)

- 964 Pinocchio

- Tetsuo: The Iron Man

- New Rose Hotel

Also saw an interesting psychological horror / thriller titled "Open 24 Hours" that wasn't bad. And a movie titled "Synchronic" that was pretty good.

Informative / educational videos:

- N.J. Wildberger's "History of Mathematics" series

Interesting cyberpunk choices - I certainly hadn't heard of 964 Pinocchio and it's not easy to get hold of by the look of things. Also had never heard of "New Rose Hotel" which is surprising as it has A-list actors in it.

You'd be amazed sometimes at what one can find on archive.org. :-)

That could explain why people don't bother to seed it, though there are some DVDrips available.

Many thanks.

Mr Inbetween- Australian series about a hitman whose life is caught "inbetween" his family and his job. The main character (Ray Shoesmith) is played by Scott Ryan who created and wrote the series which is based on an earlier film he made called "The Magician" which is a documentary based on following the same hitman around. Scott Ryan's performance in Mr Inbetween is amazing considering that he's not an actor and his grin is one of the scariest things that I've seen.

Great killer mask, one of my favourites along those of Lorne Malvo and Anton Chigurh.

I have a list of some underrated and obscure movies here, hopefully some things on that list fix what you're looking for.

Any particular reason that Brainscan appears twice (at #33 and #57)?

FWIW, I haven't seen that one yet, but it's on my list of "movies to watch" and I think I'll be getting to it soon.

Nope, just human error :( I'll fix it.

These aren't in a serious order, just kind of ordered them how I felt at the time. It's rated somewhat as how good it is compared to how unknown or underrated it is. Some are so obscure (like "Come True") and they are so good for their budget.

That movie amazes me for what the internet says the budget is, anyway.

It's a nice list. I've only seen a few of the movies on there. Offhand, that includes "Hotel Artemis", "Vision Quest", "Moon", "Automata", "It Follows", "Omega Doom", "Predestination", "Cube", and "Freejack". But quite a few more look very interesting and will be going on my personal "to watch" list. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome, I hope you like some of the ones you haven't seen!

- Anora: really good movie. Bit rude at the start but leaves you thinking about it a long time after. Also ended up arguing a lot with my whife what it was actually about. - The Return: not bad a bit long but a good rendition. - Day of the Jackal: This was good series.

Olympic's 100 meters finals.

Being there was incredible cool to experience. The atmosphere was of pure emotion, and watching the fastest people in the world compete with eachother felt like a privilege.

Severance on AppleTV+

Amazing show which would resonate with a lot of people who come here

Bald and Bankrupt's recent coverage of the situation in Syria.

Some of the healthygamergg dialogues.

Justin Gaethje vs Max Holloway.

Bad Sisters on Apple TV.

> Can be anything ...

Watching Trump defiantly raise his fist in the air right after his assassination attempt.

Who did he try to assassinate?
