Big news - Telegraph unhappy that one of its reporters is facing investigation and supports its position using another of its own articles.

I am sure being an asylum seeker is a breeze in comparison to being a journalist.

While UK's laws on online speech are insane this is not really an extraordinary story. She's using a lot of tricks to make it seems outrageous. There's nothing weird about being investigated about something a year in the past. It's also not weird that she cannot get any information. She's is being informed that an investigation is starting, she has not been charge yet. The police should definitely not disclose anything when an investigation has just begun. That comes later. Like revealing the name of the person that reported it, have completely bonkers to think as weird or somehow unfair.

In the end I don't understand her surprise. UK is pretty consistent with this nonsense, and you would think that all people - especially public persons - would have taken note on how they write on social media years ago. She is just annoyed that its hitting her, bet she didn't care at all before that.

It's a classic when self-identifying law-abiding citizens get involved with the police that they feel that they are being treated very bad and assumed a criminal. But its just how the system works, and what happens to everyone going through it.
