This article is amazing lol, even with its satirical themes, I do think it's a sentiment many of us can agree with, I dont think it's nearly that bad, but I think developers are too unwavering with how their website performs (I had a stroke writing that word omg), because 'it runs on my machine just fine', and '1mb of javascript really isnt that much more', we need to get JavaScript off the server, or dont I dont really care. One message from a friend in a discord server when I shared my ideals with no JS on the server was "but sure, let's all go back to using flash", because JavaScript is so convenient, and when more and more companies are looking for fullstack web developers, not having to be familiar with a verbose Go, a more systems oriented language like Zig, or a whiny Rust, is how you get fast developers, but a 'LGTM' website performance.
