for whatever reason I LOVED the tri jet configuration of this wide body plane. Probably because my first trip was a flight to Florida at 2 years old in a wide body (MD-11), and then Home Alone featured a tri jet.

I too love the engine configuration of the 727 (and if you like that, you should check out the L-1011), but it wasn’t a widebody. It has the same fuselage cross section as a 737.
