Donald Foster (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Foster_(professor) ) is sometimes known as a "forensic linguist" for his use of computers to analyse texts. Famously, he figured out the (formerly anonymous) author of the bestselling novel "Primary Colors" using computer analysis.
