So it wasn't a problem that the other party made up 70% of justices where they started counting? It's just a problem now that it's approaching 60% the other way. If anything it's been closer to 50/50 for the past 30 years now...

In 24 States, Supreme Court Justices are chosen by election, including most of the states mentioned in this article... couldn't it just be the will of the people? That's the process the article is actually disrespecting here, right?

Besides the shift in composition itself, the process shift reporting was informative (quite a few states switched processes recently)

And those processes largely reflected the whims of those states voters.

I fail to see the problem.
