I don’t think that’s unique to Poland.



Of course not, but the average consumption seems to be higher. Particularly (relatively highly processed) dried and cured sausages which are supposedly associated with higher rates of certain kinds of cancers.


I think this is a very stereotypical and stupid theory.

The most common cancers are prostate or breast cancer in Poland:

Those are the most common everywhere, so it doesn’t explain the disparity.

Why is it stupid? Because it’s a stereotype? Do you know where stereotypes come from?

Also: it’s not a serious ‘theory’; it was just a small amount of speculation.
