RCS is just "SMS: The smartphone update". If you shouldn't use SMS for something, then you shouldn't use RCS for it either. This includes personal communication. It's great for receiving service messages and that is it, much like email.

rcs is much worse than sms or email. because it open extra holes where those were crudely patched.

but google PMs saw it as a way for promotion because at the time there was the whole blue vs green bubble fad going on.

RCS have even more opt in dark patterns than all advertising products summed.
