I spent a few minutes looking, but it seems like there's no examples of these maps on their site, except for a few small screenshots. I don't want to have to learn the tool and make a map to find out what I can make. Did I miss an examples page?

I would have liked to see more fleshed-out examples linked from the homepage, but digging around a bit on Hacker News found this example shared from 9 years ago (!):

Some of the images appear to be broken, but overall the map and its associated metadata is still intact. Very impressive, and cool to see!

Looks like a very useful project. Sadly, I cannot tell if the tool creates static images or interactive widgets. The website really misses some examples.
