This is a fantastic usage sample for digital surface models.

Decades ago I computed height and roofs for a city to find tax cheaters. Boring.

Now I'm computing pointclouds and geometry of plants to optimize their treatment. Boring.

But solar-panel opportunities are groundbreaking. Now just convince the bureaucracy to actually allow panels on private roofs. This might help a lot
