What would happen if there was someone else in the world with exactly the same voice as Scarlett (or very, very similar) and they expressed a desire to work with OpenAI? Would Scarlett still have the right to prohibit its use?



That's a fundamental flaw with this sort of copyright. First come first serve and it's up to courts to "asign rights" so if you don't have that tough luck someone else owns your identity because their bigger.

People cheering for this sort of copyright are completely lost imo. That's not a world anyone but the select few wants to live in.

Nevertheless that's not what happened here.
