Thanks for your comments, specifically on Google Analytics vs KISSmetrics. I've had a somewhat similar experience with Mixpanel: it's a nicer tool than Google Analytics but the UI is limiting. Can you elaborate on how "KissMetrics felt restrictive"?

I didn't spend more than a couple of hours on both, so I may be wrong.

But I found it easier to get the dashboards to my liking and extract the metrics I wanted on Google Analytics.
