Interesting - it's definitely got a "Notice Me!" paint job.
The plane is a 737-800 - the most common, but not the most problematic, 737 variant. Still, I hope they got it cheap...
Bought used from Air China. Ah - maybe very cheap. Especially if it has a bunch of expensive eavesdropping devices tucked into the nooks & crannies.
The plane's intended use is unknown. It's not configured to haul freight, and now sports a few extra antennas on the top. Available flight data doesn't show it doing anything interesting yet. Maybe it'll test & demonstrate Starlink service for airliners, plus serve as an employee shuttle between SpaceX locations...
(The "SpaceX Appears to Be" is because the plane's non-SpaceX owner of record has the exact same address as SpaceX's HQ.)
Trying to claim there's a bunch of tapping devices on the plane seems a bit much... This is going to be one of many up for sale and they're not going to know ahead of time who the buyer is.
