1. We don't have a public plugin API yet, but we will in the future. Our (internal) plugins are represented as custom elements: Python writes the HTML (e.g., `<marimo-vega ...>` and the frontend instantiates it. 2. marimo was built from scratch, it doesn't depend on Jupyter or IPython at all.
