Yeah, excellent example: the remastered ZZ Top records which substituted drum machines for Frank Beard. Not sure when that was done exactly but the streaming versions of their songs sound much worse than the vinyl ones do because of that weirdly echoey and metronomic drum machine.



Nah, it's worse than playing to a drum machine

Because they take the song and quantise everything post recording
