With Vscodium you also aren't exposed to all the closed source extensions (e.g. Pylance). MS aggresively pushes proprietary extensions on everyone, which does only heaven knows what to your data and machine. Vscode is in all practical purposes open core surrounded by a lot of closed source. This despite the fact that they like to pretend they altruistically love open source.
