Russia's Stranglehold on the World's Nuclear Power Cycle (rferl.org)

It is notable in my mind that Russia is the only country that is building nuclear power plants of the same design regularly enough that it is on an n-th of a kind (NOAK) as opposed to first-of-a-kind (FOAK) basis.

China is building a lot of reactors but they seem to be trying almost every design in the market and even thiough they say they want to standardize on the Hualong One there are really two different Hualong Ones and they are already talking about the Hualong Two.

It is all the more mind boggling that Russia risks ruining it all for themselves (as well as all of us) by risking it all at Energhodar.

For clarification, since many people might not be familiar with the name of Enerhodar - it's the town next to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
