This is a film that I wouldn't go to see, but I was surprised when at least a few conservative pundits came out with really positive reviews of the film, and they explained how it could be interpreted in interesting ways beyond the surface appearances, or the way that everyone hoped it would promote certain values. I think it's just great that such a popular film has layers and layers of polyvalent meanings. That's art, when all sorts of people can look at it from different points of view, and see radically different things.
