I wonder why anyone thinks that learning a library that's written in a dead language is a good idea.

Dart has been evolving rapidly. It remains to be seen if Google will stay committed to it but you can hardly call it dead today.

Right? The community has been quite honest on its wants/desires for dart with little progress in 10+ years.

Thankfully Skia+React metaphors are being actively developed in more mature and healthy language ecosystems.
