Doesn’t ppd have to be combined with distance to make sense whatsoever. You can’t compare 40 ppd at 1 meter with 40 ppd at ??? m?




No, pixels per degree are already corrected for distance.


I mean in terms of the physical resolution of the pixel plane, eg a low res calculator far away has more ppd than a 4K monitor at 1”.
