In my experience technical analysis works ok at resolutions of 1 to 5 minutes. i.e. if you want to grind at day trading watching the live candlesticks and have a reasonably fast trading platform you might make enough to get by. This assumes you are familiar with the asset and are up to date on latest news relating to it and use that as a lens to read the TA indicators. As the timeframe grows it's just alchemy. Applying to to asset activity over days is meaningless.
