I didn't say 1 to L7 was "in the ballpark" and neither did you, because you knew that'd be wrong.

And yes, dozens. Many dozens. Hundreds, even hit the "ballpark" of FAANG pay, especially now. FAANG isn't what it once was, the separation isn't nearly as large.

You still haven’t posted any concrete examples…

Then how is Walmart in the ballpark of Amazon if it takes being a L7 engineer to hit the same compensation as an SDE2 at Amazon for example.

FAANG initial offers are still on the same level they always were, they are hiring fewer people.

I haven’t paid attention to the other stocks. But AMZN and my RSUs are higher than they were when I got hired in mid 2020, I got a refresher and I still have 60% of my original stock unvested.

The first two years, most of my compensation was cash.

My compensation has gone up decently in the past three years and based on the current stock price, will be up next year

And I can’t speak for Facebook. But from what I know about Amazon and heard about Google, they are both giving out refreshers to make their current employees whole.

Netflix pays mostly in cash.

And what is your definition of “in the ballpark”?

It doesn't take being an L7 engineer at Walmart to hit the same compensation as an SDE2 at Amazon (L7 @ WMT is $493k vs SDE2 @ AMZN is $243k according to levels.fyi). You still don't understand that Walmart tech jobs aren't mostly listed under Walmart on levels.fyi.

Consider this a little test; figure out what I'm talking about and where I got the $493k, and I'll continue to engage. Otherwise I'm done.

Here is software engineer levels.fyi data for Walmart, Walmart Gobal Tech, and Amazon: https://www.levels.fyi/t/software-engineer?compare=Walmart+G...

And yet he will still likely demand I personally post this very same link, because for some reason that's important...
