On: Opinionated dotfiles for vim, zsh, git and OS X

Every time I see a vimrc with shortcuts that have the sole purpose of editing one's vimrc, I can't avoid thinking these guys are over doing it.

[alinajaf → gbog]

That particular hack is among my favourite. I think I learned it from Steve Losh. It means that if I'm editing away and I notice some repetitive task I keep running into, I can quickly open up my vimrc, create a mapping and then source it again all in a few keystrokes. Totally changed the way I use vim.

[sigzero → gbog]

Overdoing it? Nah. When I see a vim hack that I like it is just a quick key combo away to make it so.
