I use the Homebrew package manager on macOS to install fonts. Probably works the same way when running Homebrew on Linux.

How I install one of my favorite fonts:

    brew install font-meslo-lg-nerd-font

I'd love one, honestly. Fonts do get updates, especially fonts patched with the Nerd Fonts extensions... would love to be able to update mine in one go.
