Hello from FlightAware! We are hiring for a number of positions, including Network Reliability Engineering and software engineering. Our team is headquartered in Houston, Texas, but we work as a distributed team and accept remote applicants for work within the United States.

FlightAware has built the world’s leading aviation software platform, processing over 180 million incoming messages an hour from over 30,000 feeds—over 2TB a day and growing—to provide the best, most complete, and most accurate real-time flight tracking services in the industry. We use Python, Rust, C++, Tcl, and JavaScript. We are proud to have built a wide variety of successful products on this foundation that have become central to the aviation industry at large.

Im a pilot and a senior backend engineer so this would be pretty interesting. I tried applying, but the post request to https://flightaware.com/about/careers/position/61.327/apply is giving me Error 401: Bearer authorization missing, despite clearly having the Authorization: Bearer {token} header. Can you confirm that it works?

FWIW I just tried it and it worked for me. Perhaps you can check the base64 value you generated for the token? Sometimes error messages can be misleading...

Good luck!

I'm getting something similar, Error 405: Unsupported method

That sounds like youre doing a GET or something instead of a POST.
