Calling the headline misleading isn’t calling the situation fine.

Misleading headlines can derail opportunities to have a conversation about the actual cause of outrage, especially when reading a headline may be all that some do.

A misleading headline can lead to excessive outrage, which may make any efforts at discourse impossible.


Calling it fake is misleading. This is the kind of Wikipedian pedantry that actually serves to stifle necessary discussions.
