What a terrible experiment design. Groups were given Pepsi, Coke, and a control group was given water. That’s not very conclusive evidence for/against any particular ingredient, or carbonation.
It seems like I've seen quite a bit of people claiming that testosterone levels have been dropping as of late. Can anyone tell me if that's true or not?
Get mice fat and jittery enough with way more ml/kg than zero-proof hillbilly moonshine, T-levels will be the least of their problems.
Also consider they're treated with all the of humanity of lab rodentia: confinement in small cages and culling if/when they don't meet a particular study's criteria. Rodent guillotines were still in use the last I heard.
To conduct a pointless study that can't possibly justify the cruelty cost is absurd.
Finally, it's worth noting animal labs have a checkered history of attracting terrorist crazies even PETA won't have anything to do with. Right there with mass shooters and religious death cults in terms of the liabilities of insanity plus aggression plus access to weapons.
