The Youtube Description states the inspiration was this:
"After seeing the documentary "Alone in the wilderness" by Dick Proenneke, I became completely obsessed with the idea...."
"I know my journey and I hope to inspire others the same way Dick Proenneke inspired me."
He actually lives in a normal house nearby, not in his cabin, nowadays. Or so I was told by a collague who was neighbor with him until he moved to wherever in Sweden this is
(not to say that it takes anything away from this awesome achievement)
In the description he says his grandparents own a forest, so, I guess it makes finding the land and getting all the trees a lot easier, compared to if I or you want to do it. If I had to guess he lives in his grandparents' property now.
