I wonder if a first order question behind all this mess is whether there is a correlation between an extremely academic upbringing and the ability to rationalize? Many of the critiques of “the elite” have these overtones, e.g. the fleet of private jets at international climate summits.


It's literally not though. The image in the tweet shows a paper that's cited nearly 3 times more than the paper that the tweet is about


Good catch, but the paper above that is perhaps almost more apropos: "dynamic implications of learning in a large population coordination game"

Large population coordination, both implicit and explicit, around high leverage alt-coins explains much of this cycle.


The first reply is pointing out that tweet is inaccurate and the response is “I didn’t let the facts get in the way of a good tweet. Second most cited.”

So, the title here is also inaccurate. According to the tweeter in their follow up it’s actually his second most cited and they lied in the original tweet to get eyeballs.
