the mention of betamax probably meant that you replied to a joke. either the fact that betamax was just dead, or that technically superior options don't always win the market



Being a joke doesn't make a comment immune to having wrong parts. Those obvious jokes are not improved by saying you can't find an encoder unless it's actually true.

Can you explain how that is clearly part of the joke? Otherwise the correction makes plenty of sense. Despite the comment being a joke.


If you don't understand it, you could always try just being quiet until you figure it out.
