“Cryptonomicon” by Neal Stephenson is on their list. While it's a great book with an intricate plot. It's not my favorite of Stephenson.
The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson is a great book that is set in the 22nd century that combines elements such as nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence to create a compelling story that is full of interesting characters. The story follows the small girl Nell as she is adopted by a mysterious group of nobles and is given a special book called "The Young Lady's Illustrated Primer". The Primer is a magical book that helps Nell to learn, grow, and ultimately find her way in a chaotic world.
That book is the real protagonist, and is really fascinating. Could such a thing soon become a reality, now that GPT-4 is round the corner?
