Am I the only one who found the physical unit of kWh/day really confusing?

If there's anyone else like me who prefers Watts, this equates to an average power consumption of slightly over 4W (100watt*h over 24 hours).




It's a little awkward, but it makes sense in the context of determining an energy budget or the daily operating cost on grid power.


Watts are handy if your electricity is priced around 11.4 cents per kWh. If that's the case, 1 Watt continuously = 1 USD per year. (scale up or down to suit your tariff)

(1 watt = 8.76 kWh/yr)


With appliances kWh/day is useful since you count costs in kWh


Well, the thing is you can easily calculate your energy expense or your battery storage, given its calculated in watts/hour.
