He is able to run the site on Tor just fine. The problem is that without being a normal clearnet site, your community will die off.



That's a bit of a chicken-egg problem, as Tor still lacks a killer app. A popular Tor-only forum might just be what it takes to drive wider adoption.


It would only really work if browsers implemented tor support by default. But I can’t see that happening.

There is also the issue of it being super slow.


Brave implements Tor support by default.


Be aware there have been many instances where Brave's implementation of Tor leaks user information that Tor Browser does not.

Notably, keeping javascript enabled during "Tor mode" even if the user has explicitly disabled javascript.

I recommend using Tor browser and using about:config to set javascript.enabled to "false".
