If you can’t explain how the solution will improve the business and how it ranks compared with solving other business problems then you are doing it wrong.

Leslie Lamport was a hero for me. Then i heard that he went to Microsoft and then i heard nothing about him.

I guess Microsoft got what it wanted.

There was a paper published about making SQL server transactions distributed. But one of the authors was lost at sea. That was the last I heard of it.
