The Fed can't do that. The US is a country of laws. By law, the Fed has the dual mandate to keep inflation and unemployment low. Currently unemployment is extremely low, well below the target, and inflation is extremely high. If the Fed stops fighting inflation, in principle Chair Jerome Powell can be impeached. This has never happened in the history, and Powell has zero intentions to be the first.
The only way for the Fed to not fight inflation is for Congress to change the law. Good luck with that.
