Your family must be very different than mine! (and coworkers too:)

I Have frequently heard phrase at work "you plug into here to get wifi". My family and in laws absolutely positively do not understand the difference between wifi and internet. In particular, the idea that they may be connected to wifi but not have internet is an alien, incomprehensible notion.

It depends who you hang around with. Computer professionals understand the difference. Most others do not as they don't need to - empirically, to majority of population, wifi IS internet (as opposed to cell phones, of course, which use "data":)




WiFi is the blue ā€˜eā€™ on my screensaver.
