Confusing title. The article is about blood types.
"Golden blood" is blood which is effectively neither Rh positive nor Rh negative, as its missing some antigens which both Rh- and Rh+ have. It's not such a good thing to have, apparently, since it also comes with structural features which may result in anemia. See also:
Just a couple of days ago I read a short-short SF story titled "Argent Blood", by Joe L. Hensley.
(Spoiler: in order to kill a coven of vampires - who run a lunatic asylum whose patients won't be missed - the protagonist, and feeding target, poisons his own blood with silver chloride).
