Erlang / Elixir is a underused powerhouse for real time communications, arguably its biggest strength. It’s other is taking data and “munging” it into something usable from a POST API. I’m also reasonably certain it would make a fast GraphQL server / cluster due to its processing model, but haven’t really had a chance to work on that problem with it.

If you’re building real time products I recommend giving it serious consideration


Elixir is pretty good for building graphql servers. The predictable latency under load is nice.
